Far from your typical gym owner, I assure you. I’ve been at this for 20 years now and I do it because I LOVE the people. I love seeing people transform and change their own lives through fitness, as I did mine! I am a huge believer in BALANCE. While there are those who live to work out, I work out to LIVE! I love to lift weights as much as the next guy, but I also love to ride the Harley and grab a cold beer and a cheeseburger. Life is about balance and I want to help others find what that means for them. Busy moms, tired dads, overweight, out of shape… I’ve been there, I understand what you’re going through, and I can get you on track and get you through it!
I have been working as a personal trainer for a little over 10 years! I received my BS in Exercise Science from Creighton University in 2010 and have personal training certifications through both NSCA and NASM. I also received my Master of Public Health from UNMC, with focus on Health Promotion and Prevention. I love working with people who want to live life to the fullest by being able to move and feel their best through increasing strength and gaining confidence. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2017, and it gave me an even greater perspective on the importance and the JOY in movement and taking care of your health through fitness, nutrition, and mindset. I love being able to share this with people. Give me a barbell, coffee, a dog, travel, and charcuterie with my wife and I’m a happy girl. 🙂
I got into fitness after my third child was born. My self esteem was at an all time low, and my anxiety and depression levels were through the roof. I was over 200 lbs and had a giant c section scar. Going to the gym each morning made me feel so much better mentally, and then I began to see the physical benefits soon after. It was such a win-win for me that I became passionate about it and wanted to share that passion with others. From moms to dads to kids, helping other people find the mental release and physical benefits that fitness brings is what I was made to do!
